Our team is dedicated to designing for improved manufacturability and can offer insight on how to best mold components to reduce cost and improve quality.
We also offer both overmolding and insert molding services. We make sure all parts are molded exactly as they need to be, hitting tolerances as tight as ±0.001”. We seek to establish a true partnership and leverage our engineering team’s background in product design & injection molding expertise to offer feedback on manufacturability. With this in mind, we’re better able to work with our customers to identify issues and offer feedback ahead of production. We have three lean manufacturing meetings per day during which we assess and strategize how to most efficiently meet our customers’ goals. Over the years, we’ve had over 8,000 lean ideas, 85% of which we have implemented and many more that we are actively seeking to implement in the future.
Additionally, we are consistently looking at ways to improve processes with the utilization of automation. This includes experience working with customers to bring existing long running products in-house and introducing automation to control cost, increase repeatability, and improve product accuracy.
We are committed to reducing waste with respect to both production materials and processes. We send zero scrap to landfills. We design with intent for all of our parts to be one-or-less using hot runner and hot gate processes to eliminate waste. We collect and regrind any runners used to further reduce waste, and we sell all excess regrind to third parties for repurposing.
